Getting Started with Rustici Generator

This guide will help you become familiar with and start using Rustici Generator. This section covers recommended steps that will help you set up data and credential management, configure application settings, and more before jumping in to Rustici Generator’s core features.

Initial Setup

Once your agreement with Rustici Software has been finalized, our Engineering and Delight teams will coordinate the creation of your new application. Your instance of Generator will be hosted in an isolated environment, which will ensure your application and data are not impacted by other application instances.

As part of the setup process, Rustici will create default credential for your new application. This default credential will have the ID root and will have unrestricted credentials, which permits the user to perform any action within the application (more details about user credentials can be found on the Authorization Scopes page). After your new environment and root credential have been created, you will receive an email from our team that will detail how to access your new environment and provide the credentials for root.

Next Steps

After your initial setup, you are ready to configure your application in a way that works best for your organization. We recommend taking a moment to perform the following setup steps:

• Manage data tenancy
• Create additional credentials with configured authentication scopes
• Configure application settings
• Configure subscription notifications
• Import content into the application
